Restarting the Filemaker web server

 

Sometimes, after rebooting the Filemaker Server (Master-FMS) machine, the web services do not reconnect. The FMS seems to loose connection to the worker machine. You need to do the following steps:

  • First stop all the databases on the FMS
  • Next click on the Connectors tab and remove the Worker machine, as per below
  • Stop the filemaker WebDirect services
  • Graphical user interface, application

Once the FMS server restarts, re-enable the Filemaker WebDirect service

  • Next connect to the Worker (web) server:
  • Restart the web server, once back launch the FileMaker WebDirect Worker Deployment Assistant icon on the desktop, as per below:
